										</image><item><title>What has the NUS ever done for us?</title><description><![CDATA[ As students, we're almost all members of the NUS and even if your Students' Union is not a member, any student can sign up for an NUS Extra Card. However, one thing many of us don't realise is how much money can be saved by using our student status to its fullest extent.  The first port of call is to look through the NUS's organised discounts. Unfortunately, all of these discounts are now only available to NUS Extra cardholders. The card costs £10 and is available from the NUS website. If you haven't sorted out your student bank yet, Lloyds TSB offer free NUS Extra cards to their student account holders.  Here are just a few of the top discounts offered by companies:   Amazon.co.uk - get 5% off books, music, DVDs and more.
